Honestly, you can tell the whole team took a fresh approach with Empuraan compared to Lucifer. It still dives into political themes, but this time on a much grander scale. The pacing starts off slow, and yet, it feels noticeably different from Lucifer. There were moments where I felt Lucifer had the edge, and then other times when Empuraan pulled ahead. Visually though, it was stunning — seriously, it felt like watching a Hollywood production. Now, about Khureshi Ab’raam — not quite what I had hoped for, but Stephen absolutely delivered, just like Leo and Parthiban in Leo. That climax showdown between KA and ZM? Absolute goosebumps! As for the music, it's a mixed bag. Some tracks lifted the scenes beautifully, but a few moments did feel a bit cringey. Given the political angle, the backlash is no surprise. And yeah, you can expect new folks to jump in just to pull it down. Still, the writing and direction were both top-tier. As someone who's always been a big L fan, I walked out of the theater fully satisfied. This one’s definitely meant to be experienced on the big screen 💯🙌🏻.
